Default Worthwhile brake upgrade...

After putting up with my front brake lever pulling in to the grip after countless bleeds and new pads and different lines I decided that my master cylinder finally took a dump. I did not want to go with the same assembly from BRP as I wanted to upgrade and possibly save a few pennies so I started looking at street bike master cylinders on ebay. Well I found a guy that was parting out a 2006 Hayabusa with like 1,000 miles on it, I got the Busa cylinder for $60 and I gotta tell ya, the clamping force is insane, I'm assuming the Busa piece has a bigger piston in it. I also went with dual braided lines and man what a difference! I can actually skid the front tires on pavement now, another nice feature is the adjustable lever, I gots me some big 'ol mits so it's nice to get that lever way out there. GREAT upgrade for just a little coin, thought I'd pass it along!

Great info. I have stainless lines, but I am still disappointed with the brake performance. I'll have to keep that in mind...

Now if only the rear brake worked well.

Thanks!

Thats cool, will keep that in mind. Right now though my 04 brakes are awesome, I was just doing some stoppies in a parking lot on Saturday with it.
