Default new atv extended warranty

I just bought a new CAN AM and was offered a four year warranty for $600. Supposedly it covers most everything. Are these warranties worth the money?

I think all warranties are worth the money, but that seems a little steep. I guess it would depend on what it all covered.

Default new atv extended warranty

I just went through the warranty issue with CAN-AM. My water pump shaft went bad and was leaking water out of the weephole. I called their customer service line and was told I have a 3 year warranty plus an additional 2 year television warranty on all non wearable parts like shocks, cv boots, brakes etc. That is 5 entire years! By the way, that would have been about 1100 bucks in labor to replace the pump shaft, it involves removing the engine from the quad, removing both cylinders, cvt and splitting the cases to get to a circlip that holds the shaft in place. I am supposed to pick it up on Monday. I for one will tell you to get as much coverage on the machine as possible because no matter what you ride, IT WILL BREAK ONE DAY!!!! If I would have had to pay for the repair I would have wished I bought a 600 dollar warranty. It was no questions asked and repair work is being done by Sportland 2.

I purchased a 3 year for 600 or 900, it never got used, but is deffinately worth it if something does break. I was just lucky nothing broke.
