Actually he got a great start the yfz has the hole shot 1st with a close ratio 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th gears. That freaking first gear is really high geared I bet that is why I took him off the start. My quad was in 2x4 like I said it was on pavement. If it was a shorter race he would have won.

 

well i hope you get the pictures of you beating the yfz- i wouldnt expect to get the actual picture though- it would be embarassing to get beat by an outty on a yfz, so he might have photoshopped it and swapped you and the yfz [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I raced a new 450r kawi in the sand with my renegade. I was in 4x4. I took him from start to finish. My top speed in wet sand with paddles is only 68 mi.

 

thats sweet- at least there are some sport quads that lose to the renegade- i know the outlaw 525 is a bit faster- so the rappy 700 is also a bit faster, a pred just might be faster or equal cuz of all the top end power, and i heard the trx450r beats it- not ER though... those are a bit slower

 

I would like to know where you get your info/stats from. I recently took my 650 to my local Yahama/ Can Am dealer and they had just tested the Renegade in Coose Bay Oregon for 10 days. I was looking into getting the new 700 Raptor and they told me that the Renegade was literally twice the machine of the 700. I asked them what the fastest quad they sold was and they told me that it used to be the yfz 450 (yes even faster than the 700) until the Renegade came out. So my info comes strait from a Yahama/ Can Am dealer. Now all I have to do is convience my wife to let me get the Renegade (whats another $11,000 huh).

 

I got mine for $12,500CDN... it shouldnt be 11US

 

Faster than some slower than others. believe some and DON'T believe others.The renegade is about the same speed as the outlander....

 

there's a few vids of the new outlaw 525 beating the renegade- but its pretty close

I just thought that the weight would be a huge handycap for the renegade

the renegade and the outty 800 probly have same top- but the gade with get there faster- so it will always stay a few lengths ahead (unless the outty was modded for mudding with 28 inch tires)

 

the renegade is faster than an 800 outty by a couple lengths.

 

One of the difference's of the gade/outtie coming out of the holeshot is that the outtie suspension well compress and the gade well stay stiff allowing it to accel quicker
