Default ds650 question

1. can the ds650 i have running lean cause the popping from the intake
2. ive noticed that one of my plugs isnt getting spark could a bad coil cause the intake to pop

i found out why its running so lean and the part is on the way it was the rubber boot between the carb and intake, it had a big slit in it from dryrot or something so i got a new one

another question a friend of mine told me to take a compression gage and hook it up with the moter at top dead center so that all the valves should be closed and put about 20 lbs of pressure into the block through plug hole, will this tell me if i have a stuk valve or is this not recomendable? much appreciation on the replies ive recieved so far

Default ds650 question

im pretty sure you should have more than 20 lbs of compression...if i remember right its more like 50lbs,,,,just pull the plug wires and one plug, thread it into that hole and crank it a few times and see where its at,,,at work we use mitchell on demand for finding that stuff out about cars so i dont know if theres a range for the compression of the ds
