hi there

i'm new to this forum but i can try to help you out with you injector problem. You injectors have 2 wires , one is power one is ground , turn the key on and probe the connector to see if you power on one of the terminals. If by any chance you have a power and both terminals there is a possibility that on of the injectors is shorted . What you do in that case is you unplug them one at a time and probe it and make sure the power is not present on both terminals then you can isolate which one is a problem. You can also check the resistance using a multimeter and compare.
However if you have a power on one terminal then the most likely cause is the computer since it pulls the injectors to ground, but before replacing the computer make sure you have all your grounds on the chassis correctly installed.

Alright let us know how you make out with the battery...I was gonna ask you today if you can tell if the fuel pump is working...If you get the battery and hook up the computer I think you might have to reset the ecu or there is a sensor or your injector for some reason isn't opening...Can you try and pop start it at all or will the efi not turn on at all.

While im waiting for my new battery to come (since nobody in PA carries a size 15 battery, not even dealerships) i decided to charge mine best it would and hook up the laptop to 'er. The fuel pump kicked on so i knew there was enough juice in the battery to plug in the ECU, heres some readings i got:
Barometer - 93kPa 27.46 in HG
O2 - .667
Coolant - 46
Throttle - 18%
Gamme - 156
MAP - 92
MAT - 48
EGO - 100
Barometer - 100
Warmup - 150
Air Den - 103
VE - 20
I also took out the injector, i turned the top of the housing over and a lil gas came out so the gas is gettin to it, it looked ok but i really didnt know what i was looking at lol

Fuel is getting to the injector but the injector sounds like it isn't opening. Pull the injector out and turn the key on. Fuel should squirt out of the injector for a brief second. If it doesn't there is something going on with the computer not sending signal to the injector. You could check the resistance and the voltage to the injectors. Sounds to me like a computer problem, man I hope that isnt the case.

Let us know.

Im really thinkin its not a computer problem, i mean the system was workin 100% when i took it off the bike few months back, left all main pieces in tact, i took my time reinstalling, and right now my battery is killing me, like CrackerJack said the injectors need a lot of juice to open so im hoping the battery is my problem. If my wiring and grounds were not good then the rest of my stuff, like my lights and starter, wouldnt work and my mech had the motor fire up when he sprayed stuff on my filter. If my computer wasnt working then i would figure it wouldnt read anything when i plug the laptop in, and i got some realtime display readings.
Now u confused me a lil bit there, "Pull the injector out and turn the key on. Fuel should squirt out of the injector for a brief second." If i pull the injector out and turn the key on, fuel will come out of top of the housing, the injector mount where my fuel line connects to. Is there any way to check the injector to see if its functional? From what
Boyesen1911 said, i dont know how to tell if my injector is "shorted". Man i cant wait till my battery gets here lol

You will want to pull the injector out of the housing. Keep the fuel line hooked to it. Turn the key on. This will turn on the fuel pump. When you turn the key on, it squirts fuel into the motor to start and run. So if it is not opening the injector, then it isnt getting fuel. You should be able to hook up a battery charger and get enough voltage to control the system. A battery charger charges at around 15 volts, and since you not starting it you dont really need much amps to activate the system. You could have used any battery for that. Heck even a car battery would have worked. It still would have ran if you squirted starter fluid on the filter. You are getting spark. The possible problem with the computer is it is not telling the injectors when to open. That is why I would check and see if that is the case by trying what I mentioned above. I wish you were closer to me I would come check it out...lol.. Sometimes efi can be a real pain.

well that made a mess lol, i took the housing off and turned the key on, shot the injector outa the housing mount, that baby gets some pressure lol, but i tryed again and held the injector into the housing mount and the injector didnt let any gas out, i cant try to start it with my battery being shot and i couldnt tell if the end of my injector was gettin gas since it spit all over the first time i tryed it, so im still at square one until my battery arrives...
