What kind of modifications can I do to my DS to smoke any competition if need be? Be aware that i want to be able to run unleaded gasoline and that i do mostly trail riding and hill climbing. Money is not a problem just don't go overboard.

Thank You so much
Nick

Pipe, filter, carb, and CDI....are a good start. Then you can go with head, valves, and cams. Also, rotating mass is big. Chain conversion to a non-oring style, even a 520 size. Gearing is always helpful......Does that help?

DragonDJ11 thank you very much that is actually very helpful! Do you think in the future i should get the Boss-Noss System? I think that would be a cool modification for around 800 bucks!

kx100evan, i love my DS even though it is stock, it is the perfect quad all around. Its great for trail riding, hill climbing, dunes, and actually drag( i like the 1/8 mile myself)

I have seen the Boss system used on a couple of bikes, and it looks like the way to go. I have one, and will be putting it on my bike soon. I have some other issues to fix first. Just some info, that system does not work well on a vacume carb (stocker for DS). Will need to have an aftermarket carb, and some have used a smaller shot for stock piston, but most recommend that you get a new piston set for Noss...
