I have a 2007 outlander xt 650. Took it in for the first service.. 10 hours.. 200 km. They told me that my brakes pads are 85% worn. I have friends I ride with that have yamah's and articats with 2000 km ont he origonal brakes?? whats the deal.. anyone else having the same problem?

 

well I would look at them yourself and judge and if you go through alot of mud and junk that could be the cause or maybe you ran with the parking brake on who knows.

thanks for the reply... no parking brake on.. yes done a bit of mud riding but that is what these machines are built for.. can't drive them on the road.. they are utility machines... I have heard of wearing quick for 200 km vs 2000... sounds a bit weird..
