I Agree with Matt 100% It is not a dangerous kind of power. It is just so instant with The EFI. And when you have had a carb machine and then go to this it is just so smooth and precise. As far as the 500 goes let me give you one piece of advice. GET THE 650 WITH THE DOUBLE A ARM CONFIGURATION!!!!. The 500 would be a great wheeler but it still has the Strut and lower a arm configuration. That was the main selling factor for me getting the 650. my 400 is a great wheeler but as far as handling goes it does not even come close to the 650 a arm set up. I think it was an extra 900$ at the dealer to go from the 500 to the 650.

BTW, what is the advantage of the double A-arm over what I have on my '05 Outy 400 MAX XT? (I updated my profile, since I had previosuly and mistakenly indicated my Outy was an '04 model)

actually. at the dealer where I bought mine.. it was only $400 US difference from 500 to 650. pennies really for the added features.

if I'm not mistaken the double A arm gives you more clearance. and makes for a stronger joint.. correct? Kesa?

I also see that the 2008 models are now on the website, but are they available at the dealers, are they made in Mexico already and Mattinthehat, do you know if you could get the same deal you got ($8400 U.S., down from the $9500 list price) on the new 2008's, which list out at $9600 or so for the 650 XT Max?

500% stronger. and with A Arms and a spindle you get 0% scrub wich keeps the machine tracking straight if you are really bangin hard. other machines with just the lower a arm and a strut will jerk all over the place.

I got mine from

I live in Thunder Bay ON Canada and I drove 3 hrs each way to get it. My local dealer wanted 14700.00 after taxes and I paid 9200.00 ish canadian to get it home.

Awesome people there for a dealer. he took it out of the crate, put it together even sent me a bill of sale and all paperwork to the border before I gave him a penny.

Awesome Can am Dealer!
