Well, my build got delayed a bit, used the torque specs from my factory manual and stretched a stud. Got a replacement set coming.
My DS is a real builder bastard. Is got a head from Pipelayer that was ported by Parkard in Stockton with HR cams from HPR. It has a RW TM45 I got from Mr. Meaner. It has a lightened flywheel from TheBom. A Big Gun CDI from On-Dunes.
Various gaskets, jets and small items from RW. BigDaddy went over the head for me, and checked my porting on the intake. To top it off I have one of my quiet Red Neck F4i slip on mufflers.
I bring all of this up to show that I'm a nickel and dime customer for all of these vendors. I have spoken to all of them on the phone and they all treated me as if I was going to be spending a ton of dough. Randal and I talked at length on the Top Gun slip on. Glen and Ron at On-Dunes spent a lot of time talking me out of spending money and steered me here to look at how people were getting the most out of their DSs. Elliot & Ron Wood have helped with getting gaskets, jets and talking TM45. Just yesterday Jeff Ross and I went over my stud breaking.
I have had nothing but great experiences with all of these shops, all of them seemed to be doing this more for their love of the sport than as a business.
I know this is only my experience, but if it was not for all of these shops my DS would not be what it is today, a decent running all day cruiser.

Welcome!
That is nice stuff. I was in the same spot you are in now about 1 year ago. It is fun to feel the gains from the hard work but it is EXPENSIVE!
I am doing mods on Raptor700R's now because they are less than half the cost.
Good luck and with a little luck, if your evolutionary process is similar to mine you will be selling the DS motor and stuffing a 1300cc Hayabusa motor in your DS chassis!
