Big Bore n Stroke kits for DS650
does a stroker reallycost that much ? couldnt you just do a high compression piston with a $1k 691 kit from falicon ? or a big bore kit with falicon crank ? wouldnt that be at least close to a 730 ? that with a sik port job n cams another ($2.5k) then you could even put it on alky or nitrous even ? where does the $11k come in at ? case work ? also whats the deal with the sub & frame being lightened ? what all is removed ? also I do portwork for import drag racers what do the DS heads want as far as porting ?

oh gotcha... so HPR went under and Eric is doing work just himself? Does Eric have a business name he is working under now? Have the lead times and communication issues been resolved?
These build prices you guys are quoting are CRAZY!!! Wonder what prices and options we will have in a couple years

Raptor 700 is far cheaper for a mild build. It will be interesting to see how they hold up in the big bore strokers.
LT_Z........ You sound familiar to me. Have you had a previous screen name on this forum?

He is still HPR. I don't know about the other stuff. I have never had an issue with Eric at all. He is a good guy.

I thought Randall was HPR and Eric was the machine guy? . . . Ah, what do I know. . . Funny how you go on thinking things then after years realize you were wrong. Oh well. . . I'm sure I didn't lead too many down the wrong path.
Yes, It will be very interesting to see how the Raptor 700's hold up to the bore/strokes they are putting in them now. Sounds like the 105 bore (NOT 105.5) and the +4 or +6 stroke are aboiut the best combo for the duners for the 700. We'll see over time. I still say the Bomb engine is a more stout design that can take more HP but, DANG the engine is expensive to modify. I can have a full stroker / big bore for about the same price as a Ron Wood Stage III (high compression piston / cams / port work).
I sure didn't spend nearly that much on my Pami that's for sure. I would tell anyone interested in a stroker/big-bore there are guys out there with the bikes that are looking to sell them for a little over 1/2 what the engine work would cost you. Why spend $11,000 for engine work on your engine when you can get a bike with the mods for about $6,500 + you can sell your bike to help pay for the modified bike!
I would sugges that anyone looking to do engine work, contact these builders. You may be able to get what you want for a much better price.
