Aside from the twin plug head the Rotax is the same basic design of all the other leading engine offerings. Building reliable mild engines and reliable cutting edge, high performance engines is two different situations all-together. This is all new ground for Can Am in the high performance atv business. Hopefully if problems do arise C-A will step up and fix the problem. Unlike Yamaha did with the 01 Raptor when they got into the high performance 4 stroke atv business.

The 450s are derived from the manufactures 450 Motocross bikes. Since Motocross bike are bought more for racing and none of the manufactures put EFI on there race serious Motocross bike it could be EFI is a down grade for the 450 in racing. Look at the pros on the 450 Motocross Circuit,you would bet they would have EFI on there machines in a heart beat if there was a performance advantage.
