Default Thread Direction On A DS 650

I am trying to get the rear wheel hub off the axel so as to change the rear sprocket. I assume the thread direction is standard ,counter clockwise to loosen ,but it is'nt budgeing. Question is am i tightening a left hand thread or is this a job for an air gun ? Once the nut is off will the hub cooperate and slide off with minimal force or will i need a puller ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey! lol

Spray a little penetrating oil on it and leave it for awhile and use a good breaker bar.

If you have access to a good impact gun, that would be the easiest.

I have never needed a puller to remove my hubs..........but then again, I have never had a castle nut seized on that tight either.

Good luck!
