Default Motion Pro clutch cable for the DS

I just installed a Motion Pro clutch cable on the DS and not only is it about half the price of the OEM unit, the Motion Pro cable can be lubed! One last note is that the rubber dust boot that covers the lever perch says Magura so if this a Magura cable it is even more of a deal. Thought I'd share after paying around $100 each for two OEM cables in the past.

Yeah, and it only cost me $600 to figure this out. That would be 2 Magura hydraulic clutches and 2 OEM clutch cables. Oh well, ya live, ya learn...

Do you have a part number, or is it a generic cable?

01-1021 is the part number, just go to MotionPro.com & they list products by model. Look under OEM vinyl cables, then they ask you for your ATV model, real simple.

What was the problem with the Magura?

The Magura hydraulic unit would not fully engage (pull in) the clutch making shifting very hard while riding and impossible while idling. Imagine only pulling a conventional cable in about 75-80% while riding, not fun. I tried different spline positions of the clutch actuating arm to no avail....
