I've got an 08' 650 Outty with the same problem. I only have 50+/- miles on it and they still make the same noise... Even when dry they have a grinding sqeeking noise... I'll be taking it in for the 10 hour soon and will address the problem to the dealer and see what they say...

I have read this same post by different people several times. I am writing for 2 reasons:
1) The dealer always gives the same answer. 'They will stop making that noise when broke in' Most Outys don't make that racket. Make the sob fix them.
2) People with no brake problems never post about no brake problems. The brakes on my Outy have 2800 miles on them, still got lots to wear on them, stop as good now as they ever did. They do make a little noise coming out of water. It's gone in a couple of minutes.

I have an 07 650 outlander and it had the same problem, from the day I brought it home. My dealer said it was normal, however it got worse every mile I rode it. After my 10 hour service, I got an all clear on my machine. Then only a few miles later did the problem become (well) a problem. It turned out that the break bushing in the clutch is the cause of the problem. It destroyed my belt after only 150 miles on the machine. Now, Can Am says they don't cover belts, no matter what. So after talking with my dealer *&%#@$^^^I finaly got Can Am to cover the belt under warrantee. (after the $50.00 deductable). Since then, some 100 miles ago, the noise has starting again. I will ride the fire out of it until it breaks again and see what they do then. I know the noise sounds like the breaks, but I found my problem to be in the Clutch.
