Default DS 450 Finally In Showrooms...

Now that they have finished public race testing and made adjustments to their findings on the production lines, the long awaited DS 450 is on a number of showroom floors around the country.

Personally I got to see one back in early July, there have been a number of small updates since then and all were things not left for the customer to discover...bravo Can-Am....

What kind of changes went in since early production? Anything major?

Naah, just things that came up during racing....they had an issue with the temperature sensor that controls the limp home mode...one melted during a race causing the quad so shut down. They tested and replaced it with a better unit.

Some re-routing of wiring because of some shorts caused by chafed wires as well as I believe the added a bit more strength to the upper a-arm mounts. The only other thing I know of is they consolidated all of the fuses into a single block for ease of service.

No big problems with chassis, suspension/steering or engines were found.....
