Please e-mail me when you bring it to Vegas. I'd love to compare your turbo to the 760 kit. I'de like to see how badly you beat me and if it's worth all the extra money. Sounds very sweet though.

Scooby,

Are you quadless now? I see you sig. says the 2000 is sold.

It'll be fun lining up against Jiga with the Turbo! I hope you'll be sure and get some video footage of it... please

I will be picking my new ride up around the middle of April.
Also I like to see the 760 kit in action when I go to vegas so I'll be in touch with Knutz

Nothing against a piped banshee but I think I would be at the 1000 foot finish about the time he was half way. That is if I can keep the frontend down and don't have tire hookup problems, and the turbo doesn't have too much lag. I can run "any" boost I want - programmable power, so I may start out with low boost at first. We shall see soon...

In April I will be running against a big bore turbo/EFI alcohol banshee, a rotax banshee, a 520 alcohol banshee w/mechanical fuel injection. There will always be someone faster, but it will be sweet to be able to compete. Besides, this could be just the starting point for the DS. The motor is all stock and on gas. I could bore it out and run alcohol, but I'd have to beefin up the bottom end and everything first.

Scooby,

I didn't mean any disrespect for the turbo, I just figured that since most of us are aware of what a piped 'shee is like, it be cool to see how fast a turbocharged DS would run away from it. It'd be cool!

Majorecho, I read that you need an in-state or out-of-state registration to ride at places like Little Sahara. Is this inforced? My DS is new out of the crate so I don't think it will be registered yet. If I picked the DS up I wanted to take it to the dunes nearby.

I have been checked once in the last 4+ years that I've ridden little Sahara (UT) and that was the first time I took my DS there and no one had seen one yet. The park ranger was cool and just verified that I had a temporary permit. I don't think you'll have any trouble that you can't talk your way out of, seeing how you'll have an out of state ID and a good story!
IF you are planning on coming up let me know and will get some good video footage of your new ride

Majorecho, It looks like I will have to pickup the DS. Steve wants to go over everything with me in person up front so that I won't have any problems when I get back home. My DS is way behind schedule. It was supposed to be ready 6 weeks from middle of January (not including additional time for intercooler installation). Now it has turned into 11-12 weeks. There is an annual dune event near where I live in the middle of April. All kinds of drag bikes. My trip there has been planned since last year. It is now up in the air due to the DS being behind schedule and the uncertainty of the completion date. Best case I would be rushing out to Utah to pick up the DS the weekend before the dune event, then rush back to texas, make a few mods such as gearing, and then rush up to the annual dune event with no time to get used to the DS and make any minor adjustments before the big weekend. I sold my 2000 DS a month ago. I may be in SLC the weekend of the 7th or the 14th. Are you riding at the dunes these weekends? Is this when you'll pick up your DS also?

I might be going out of town around the middle of the month, if not, I'll likely be riding the dunes
- still waiting for Ed McMann to show up with the check at the door so I don't have a definite day yet, I hope sooner rather than later.
