studs vs paddles
#1
which would be better for winter riding? Studs in the tires or paddles?
Tracks would obiously be the best but they are quite a bit of money too and require a lot of power to turn.
I think paddles would be really nice in fluffy snow but on packed snow it might not have any effect.
Studs would probably be very effective on packed snow and/or ice but i dont know how they would do in fluff.
Which would be better if the quad constantly gets stuff in deep snow with stock tires and spins like crazy on ice and packed snow?

A paddle tire is not strong enough to stud. What i mean is the paddle part is not usually wide enough to turn in the studs - go with a set of 4-Snows, they are checp and you will love them.
