Hi guys, New to the site... I tried using the search function but couldnt come up with anything... anyhow for insurance purposes im trying to locate the engine number on my Bombardier DS650 Baja... Theres a couple of numbers cast into the motor etc however where should i be looking? Thanks!

 

I thought that all you need for insurance purposes was the VIN#.

 

I might make the call and ask the insurance company. Thanks!

 

The vin is stamped into the metal under the air filter tube. - just in case the frame stick is gone !!!

The engine#'s on a ds are located in two places.One is on a sticker on the valve cover and the other is pin punched in the case on the top between the output shaft and the shifter.A dealer will not even work on a ds if the pin punches are ground off they recoverd one of my ds's that way.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
