I was just playing around on the computer today and was punching in ds450 on the various search engines and found that there is already a bigger aftermarket for this bike than the ds650. lots of pipe choices, bumpers, shocks etc.....i think you may see a ds650 for sale on e-bay soon??????

Hey Jason,

Going to Silver Lake next year? I'm going to rally my group to see if they want to go end of Feb and make plans. I'm on the sidelines on the DS450 I'm hoping they make big bores, and more stuff for it. Anything to wake up the bottom end on a 450 to make it "easier" to ride. How is that Raptor.. that is another bike that has poked my curiosity. Each time I see stuff on the DS450 the more it's starting to appeal to me. At first I was stoked, then I thought the motor lacked more power... but it's prob really corked up. Once I see more stuff for it and it's reliability has been proven then time to make the purchase!

I'm liking the 450 more and more as time goes on. I can't wait to see if a new big bore DS is coming though. Bombsaint, are you coming to Utah in May for the Little Sahara Flatlander's trip? It would be good to meet you if you come. You will love it out here.

tomber, Yea i will definately be up the the dunes in michigan this year. might go up there a few times. the raptor is still in the garage. it has about 5 min. on the motor. i have not had time to break it in yet, been spending alot of time snowboarding on my days off, gotta do something around here in the winter! but yea since amber will ride the raptor mostly i am still thinking about getting this ds450!!!! its got my interest but i am waiting to see what goes down with it ya know. SILVERBOMB... i am going to try to get in touch with hightower to see what the details are about utah. i want to go terribly. i just dont know all the logistics yet, dates, travel arrangements, gas prices, time off of work, bla, bla, bla. got to set down and lay it all out in front of me. if its is even remotely possible i think i will go. since its gonna be just me it would be nice to go to where hightower lives and hitch a ride with a group so we could split gas money and also so i wouldnt be forced to drive that far by myself. i will let everyone know soon

There are more aftermarket parts for (All) 450s because that is what is race on the track circuit. Every manufacturer has a 450 for racing but the for big bore is just the DS650 and Raptor 700 and KTM powered 525s but non off those has the race following of the 450 class.

They use to make 500 Motocross bikes but the money, and fans following where always with the 125s and 250s and with that comes aftermarket parts.
