Is a FREAK DS 650 Possible?
well i guess my mind was playing tricks on me. I took the two out on the road today and ol yeller smacked it around every time. Somewhere around the 5 to 6 bike length range going into 4th even with a lighter rider. Didnt feel the need to run em out on the big end. It wasnt getting any better. Oh well, i guess its bitter sweet. I am glad all the work on the yella paid off but kinda sad to see the red one get kicked around after i talked all that smack. I guess i should look at it this way, i get to own two ds 650s.
Time to go to work on big red.

03 was the first year for the Viper. Red facia/Black fenders. 04 was the first year for the shorter swing arms and all of the above mentioned items. 05 was the first all Red DS, with those ugly azz graphics!
I've owned five DS's over the years and the two 03's that I currently have are by far my favorites, seem to ride much more comfortably and are faster than two of the others. Having said that, one of the 01's is my sons favorite. No matter what we did with the 03's that 01 with a RWR CDI, Yoshi RS3 pipe, and OMR carb mods would smack them down. Allot of the percieved difference is just experience on the bike, being used to the feel and the ergonomics of it.

anybody done back to back testing the omr carb mods to a tm 45? Any guesses on how much difference there is? bike lengths or power wise?
I am jsut wondering because i have my old stock carb that i did all the omr mods too and i am trying to decide between a tm45 and a omr carb for the 03.
What you guys think?
