Awesome! Love for one of those to land in my lap, just not too hard, hell even if it did, it'd be worth it!! Im curious how that muzzy slip on sounds! gotta be wicked! but a full exhaust is gonna flow a lot better then just a slip on.

it barks soooo loud you can stand behind it at idle about 20 feet and it will pop you cap off your head. i got a camera that records with sound if i can email it to someone they can put it on here or youtube?

Did you install new exhaust gaskets after rebuild?
Have you checked the nuts that clamp the exhaust pipe to head lately?
Have you checked your valve clearances lately?
When you do a high speed downshift, does the motor backfire?

Even jetted spot on with my O2 meter my headers will glow, but only enough to see at night. They are SS there have been other threads about the head pipes glowing.

new gaskets when rebuilt. no back firing it runs like a scalled dog. head pipe is tight. in the day you can not tell it is glowing only in night riding. im gonna rejet it and open up the air box when i install my ron woods full exhaust kit.

Check your plugs.
More pipes have glowed from being too rich.
The DS fires on every stroke and if running rich, will burn in the pipe.
Stock needle or DJ?
What clip are you end?

plugs are clean not black or discolored at all. the atv is 100% stock except the slip on muffler. motor is rebuilt but bone stock. air box and carburetor is bone stock.

Turn the pilot screw out 3 1/2 turns.
If temperature is below 50, you may want to change the main jet up.
There under $5 each, so buy a 170 and a 175.
What octane fuel you running, 89 for stock is best.

i keep jets in stock. im gonna play with it this week when i install the exhaust. just bought a new toy last night 2004 fz1 with only 3044 one owner miles
