Default DS650 dont run right?

Hey guys, I just had the carb/jets recleaned and changed the diaphram. I couldnt check the valves but it still "burps" out the carb and is still back firing. It wanted to start better but that was it. Any other suggestions? Thanks

I was getting ready to call you dude. Was wondering if you got sucked into a black hole or something

No, Its actually alittle warmer. Everything is stock, All the jets and everything. I just recently added a BigGun over rev cdi and custom fabbed a crotch rocket yoshimura muffler w/ a K&N air and oil filters but it only ran better!

I just got back in from trying it again and noticed there is fresh oil and anti-freeze on the frames skid plate. It looks like it is also at the bottem of the head. I just changed the oil about 2 weeks ago and double checked everything and its all tight. Now what? Gaskets? Rebuild? WTF!!

What color is the oil in the tank? This may be a long shot but do you still have the stock cdi, maybe the Big Gun might be causing some of the problem.

The oil in the tank is golden but the oil on the skid plate is a "burnt blackish" color if that helps.

you said that the jets and all are still stock, right? if so, I would change the jetting. you put an aftermarket air filter and custom pipe on, which in turn means your ds is breathing more air in and out. you need to add fuel (by jetting) to match your air flow. I run a HMF exhaust, K&N filter and a BigGun over-rev Rev box. I had the same problem, come to find out my battery would not hold enough charge to fire mine up, instantly fouling my plugs. My main jet size is a 180. Hope I helped a little!

Yeah, The jets are still stock. I have the jet kit but never got around to putting it in yet. When did yours start doing this? Right after you installed the mods or awhile after? My mods were done awhile (atleast 1 yr) ago and it only started this stuff a couple days ago.

I just went out and tried it again and it makes a weird "ticking hiss" out of the top of the carb and makes no effort to even start with and without the choke. I am going to check the cdi box and rip the carb apart AGAIN and see what I can do. Thanks for the advice.
