You must buy one with a name you trust. The no-name ones on Ebay aren't going to be around to support you if you have questions or a problem.
I have a Big gun CDI on the way because I trust them from the reviews here and the support that they offer. I wanted a raised limiter and an advanced curve, but did not want to be limitless (I'm a long-time 2-stroke guy and new to this 4-stroke world). Plus the price point of a Big gun is very competitive - I got mine from an authorized dealer on Ebay for $120 shipped. Several are right around that price. You just have to look.

HAHAHA, good one!
Anyway - I have both the RWR CDI box and Big Gun box, they both work great, i think the RWR has the more powerful curve to it, but thats a scary box to have since there is NO rev limit, i like my Big Gun because i never wanna rev past 8000rpms anyway and its power curve is very nice. Like said before i wouldnt shed away from the top brand names, when it comes to the electrical system of ur quad u dont wanna mess around with 2nd grade garbage. So you should look at it like - RWR, expensive, no rev limit. Vortex, expensive, pick your own curves/adjustable limit. Big Gun, inexpensive, safe rev limit. MSD makes a nice kit for the DS, i wouldnt mind tryin it out one day
