I really haven't done any homework on these. What is the difference between the ds 450 and the X package besides the graphics. I guess I am wondering if there is a large price difference and if it is worth it.

 

Large front bumber, full aluminum skid plate, nerf bars, shocks with high speed and low speed compression along with spring preload, different handlebars with risers, black rims with rim reinforcements, different seat, sticker package, and color. I think thats it. Just go to the website and add everything up if it was bought seperatly.

 

That black color is worth it by itself, it looks way better than the yellow ones.

 

What is the difference in price? I agree the black plastic and graphic kit is worth it. It looks awesome. Just a couple other questions. Is the stance the same as the ds450 as far as the a arms and rear axle and do you think in your opinion, the shocks are race ready. I haven't seen any to this point that will compete with aftermarket shocks and it would be nice to have a quad that you didn't have to stick another 2-3 grand in it after you buy it on shocks, a arms, axle and other performance enhancers.

It's a grand more. Pretty tough one to cough up. Now I dont really race so I cant tell you much about the shocks being race ready, but I know my brothers LTR also has the 3 way adjustable shocks. The stance is the same between the regular and the X. I do know that the race teams are riding yellow ones, but I dont know what shocks they are outfitted with. I think this may be because they are going to outfit there quad with sponsors nerf bars and handlebars and so on.

I know exactly how you feel!

I was looking at a yellow DS at the local dealer not too long ago, didn't get into specifics, but it was gonna be at least $7200+ OTD. Quad does look bad-*** though, congrats!

 

Jared you should do a photo page so you can put up more pics of that bad boy. And HotBlooded I have read a few magazine reviews that say the suspension is MX quality, that they "can't bottom the things out on huge jumps". They also say how super plush they ride.

 

Will do, probably tomorrow or something. Mabey even do a video too
