I bought a used lectron40 carb for my boys 400ex. I PULLED IT APART AND IT IS A 44HV. WOULD THIS BE A GOOD CARB FOR MY DS650. MY DS HAS A BIGGUN EXHAUST, RON WOODS BOX AND 11:1 PISTON . MY GUESS IS THAT IT IS TOO BIG FOR MY SONS 400EX AND TOO SMALL FOR MY DS650. I HAVE BEEN CONSIDERING A TM45 OR 48 AND HAVING MY INTAKE PORTED. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHERE IS THE BEST TO BUY.

 

You can run that 44 on your DS and have good results. It is larger then the 42 you have on there stock. So it is still a gain, and a better carb then the stock ones are. I say go for it!!!
