One part left over-where does it go?
#1
I just finished putting a motor I bought from e-bay into my 03 DS 650, replacing a blown motor. I am left with a thin, reddish-orange colored O-ring, approximately 2 1/8 inches in diameter, and I can't for the life of me recall where it came from. I know this is a long-shot, but does anyone have any idea where this might go?

O-ring or shim? Most of the O-rings are black, sometimes the exhaust gaskets/shims between the head and the header pipe can be reddish/orange.
That sounds big though for either OMR's or my suggestion....

I will guess. Thin, how thin?
Either o-ring behind oil filter cap or behind cover on side of carb for throttle cable.
OMR</end quote></div>
My thoughts exactly, I was gonna suggest the intake orings, but those aren't that big

It is rubber. Thanks for the input guys, I know where to start now. I am hoping it is for the throttle cable housing on the carb, simple to put back on. I would HATE to have to take the headers back off again.
