Default Break in Period for 08 Renegade 800

Extremely happy I just got the call and am going to pick up my Renegade 800x in a few days. The only bikes I have purchased so far have been just broken in. My question is, whats a good way of braking in the renegade. How many miles and revs should I stay under. I have heard a few different things from different people. If anyone has any advice on this subject it would be much appreciated.
Thanks alot

10 hrs not to worry so much about the revs. But i would take it easy at first to get a feel for your new rocket. At 10 hrs all fluids need to be changed. There only break in fluids.Engine, differentials and tranny. They say the valves also need to be checked at that point.I had it done and payed out the ying yang for it But it goes into the computer for your warranty. After that learn to do the fluid changes yourself to save money.Recommended at 100 hrs.Hope this helps.

Yea man really simple to do.You'll need to get an oil filter at the dealer.Use synthetics.Don't be fooled by BRP's over priced fluids. You can get the same thing at the auto parts store.Did you get your manual?

I got the bike in Maine where I will be most of the summer, I live in Mass, I pick up everything at the dealership sometime next week, once I'm finished with some work here. So I haven't recieved anything yet... But I'll need from the dealer is an oil filter the rest I should purchase at an autoparts store? Thanks again for the help, really very helpful to me.

yeah the oil at the dealer is 12.00 a quart compared to 4 to 6 at auto store. go ahead and pic up a filter while your at the dealer. You'll want to get all the break in fluids out after the 10 hrs.And trust me the 10 hrs happens really fast. You'll need 5w40 for the motor (holds 2and ahalf quarts) and 80w-90 for the differentials and the tranny

Think about how they break them in on a dyno. The ones i have seen that used the blast breakin not only run better but also cleaner between oil changes.

You unsrew the drain plugs.LOL it will be in your manual.Your making seem harder then it is.You'll kick yourself later when you see how easy it is.Just remember not to over tighten the plugs when you put them back in.Remeber snug is good stripped is bad. You'll do just fine.
