Default rotax engine?

Hi there,

What are the differences between normal engines and rotax engines?

Are they reliable?
do they require more maintenance? (like oil change more often)

I might get one of those, can am is offering 3 year warranty at the moment...

thanks

Harold

Default rotax engine?

there was a post in here not to long ago about a farm in Oklahoma who use nothing but CAN-AMS. There bikes have 20,000 miles on them with just normal maintenance.Change fluids ever 100 hrs after the 10 hour break in. My 07 now has 2015 miles and 210 hrs. And not one issue with the motor. And I know of no other engine with a 3 yr warranty.Right now you just can't beat the rotax. It's actually a marine motor,so if you do ever get water in it,it won't hurt a thing.Drive it back and flush the oil.Had mine completely under water more than once.
