i may be totally wrong..but i think there may be a law which limits quad CC size to 800....dont hold me to it, but i have read it somewhere</end quote></div>

I believe that law is only for State property, and that varies State by State....

And doesnt arctic cat claim 15% more power than the Can Am 800?

I have heard that rumor before. there was a rumor circulating last summer that in August they were going to release a 1 Liter Outlander. Personally I have no interest in a 1200cc Outty. The 650 has more than enough power to get me into trouble and then some. Sometimes I wonder why I didn't just buy the 400. For the majority of the time I am only doing 5-10mph anyways. and the odd time I have opened it up, I actually got it up to 70mph. and that was plenty fast enough. 1200 would be insane. I bet it would require and entirely new frame/suspension/stearing system. but I wouldn;t out it past BRP to do it. There is a market for "Biggest and most powerfull in class" and they certianly cater to it. hats off to them if they do.

personally I agree with DODGE57 I would rather see more features than bigger engines. Power stearing. enhanced suspension. etc..

Many states have a cc/weight/width limit for atv's and thus SxS vehicles. I know in NY the only stocker that can be registered for use is as an atv is the Razr. The NY limit as it stands now is 1000cc, 1000lbs and 50" width I believe. The Arctic Cat passes muster because it has 950cc.

When I think about it... 1200CC... that's 1.2 Liter engine. I think my 4 cyl car is only 1.6L when will it stop. lol is there even enough room on a Quad frame for 4 cylinders?

Yep there is my Raptor has an R1. And my husband has a Busa going in his DS. Both 4cyl. It does take a little modding but can be done.

I know of quite a few rocket quads in my area, a guy I know has a CBR 1000 motor in a 400ex frame, I know of a turbo busa in a DS 650, I almost bought a 750gxsr in a 450 frame, and there are many more 600's...they just need to stretch the frame a little and add a longer swing arm to help keep the front end down

BRP better get on the bandwagon on the SxS market.

The RZR is the SxS I would buy right now if I was in the market. The Rhino doesn't have the kind of power I would be looking for in the dunes.

That 1200 would have more power than my Wife's old Honda CRX!!!

Hopefully whatever engine they choose is out of a Ski-Doo that has an option for a Supercharger. That way it may be easily added as an aftermarket item??? 1200 with a Supercharger on a SxS in the dunes. . . now we are talking!

Reality check. . . long-shot BRP will have an SxS out anytime soon.

I would love to see the 1200 in a SxS I would buy one! I love my Rhino but it doesn't have enough power in the dunes or climbing big hills when fully loaded but I don't want a Razor becouse it will not hold the cargo I carry when on long trips in the mountains. If they made a 1200 with a bed on it the size of a Rhino I would buy one no doubt about it.
