Water Wetter vs ICE Coolant
#2
A guy at Rocky Mountain ATV recommended me to use Maxima Coolaide in the summer and in the winter a 50/50 mix of Coolaide and Coolanol. I honestly don't know much about the ones you're using but if it seems to be working better I would use it.

I have used both, Engine Ice and Watter Wetter here.
I will give the edge to Watter Wetter.
Watter Wetter seemed to say coolr when you are just putting around or there is not as much airflow through the radiator. Also seems to cool down quicker.
Running Engine Ice at the moment, but will switch back to Watter Wetter when I get the DS back together.
Chris
Edit-I dont have to worry about temps dropping below freezing here. As Watter Wetter has no anti-freeze protection like Engine Ice.

I've been using water wetter in my CR500 for a while now, it helps to keep the temps down (They are very prone to running hot on forest trails). Because I live in Ohio, I run a mix of water, water wetter and ethelyne glycol (silicate free for my AL rads).
It reduces the surface tension of water (making it twice as effieicnt - so they claim). Water is the primary heat transfer/carrier mechanism in a cooling system. You can add water wetter to your engine ice, but water wetter works best when it is just with water. This, however, will not protect against freezing.
If you want to really be unique in your coolant selection (especially if you have boil-over issues), then look into non-aqueous propylene glycol from Evans. http://www.evanscooling.com/main20.htm
It doesn't expand and will not boil. Check it out.
