Take a trip to an aprillia dealer and check them out and start them up and stuff. First rate, no vibration, very balanced.

aprillia makes good stuff and are consistant winners of motogp. they are all about performance/handling. but this is not an in house project of theirs. it is a converted rxv/sxv 550 bike. i like the suspension; it looks stable i just dont think the conversion company built it for serious off road use. looks for more for street use.

"The Quad is swiss made by RST.
Quad Sommer is only the german dealer."

i hope aprillia gets a hint and makes one themselves. oh btw, yamaha finally fixed the seat on the YFZ450. i was on a new one a couple weeks ago. it is 10x better than before. if the '04 model had that seat, i dont think i would have gotten the 450R. I like every on the quad but the seat and the plastic also the gas tank, other than that it seems to be a nice machine.

the gas tank looks weird.... that's all that's wrong with it. The funky stuff on the handlebars can be removed, and the motor is DEFINITELY worth the ugliness that some may find. (I actually like the looks)

Default New DS550?

Went out to the local OHV park this last weekend (Prairie City) and put my leg over the DS450 at their Test Ride Tour thing.

The X is much better than the standard bike due to the risers (taller bars). Couldn't believe what a difference it made for me.

I spoke with some people and there is talk of a larger bore DS in the Altec frame. Hope it is true.

Also is talk of a SxS in a couple years. I may be in the market for that SxS.

I haven't ridden a track in years. Was fun to go around a few times. Even better that I didn't have to wash the bike when I was done at the end of the day!
