Default High RPM shut down

just took my newest bomb to the sand for the first time and it ran great, cept till i lined up next to my dads DS and i was a like a bike length ahead of him when we were in 5th at like 7000-7500 and my bike totally shut down it was almost like the motor blew (sh*tty feeling on a new bike) but let it sit for like 5 min and fired right up and ran great till i got it up in the r's again and it shut down, let it sit, fired up and ran. I called my local bomb shop and they said that it could be that my tank is venting enough? so i cleaned all my vents ect, cleaned the carb out and adjusted the valves while i was in there and it seems to run fine in the garage but haven't had it to the sand yet, hopefully this weekend. Any other ideas on what it is/could have been? any input would be helpful.

it just went dead while you were riding it and you had to let it sit to start it? how hot was it outside? temp light on? fan running? when mine had overheating issues it out bog out and turn off, i would have to let it cool off before i could restart it.

nah it just shut down didnt bog or nothin it was proly 75F outside and the bike temp was at 180-190F no lights or nothin soooo im kinda lost = [ its got a woods cdi on it, i mite throw the stock one on if i cant get it from the original owner it just to see if maybe thats it the guys at the bomb shop said it sounded like an air lock in the tank from bad ventilation causing it to not let gas into the carb but once u lets it sit it equalizes pressure and lets it flow? but i checked all my vents on the tank and cleaned the carb out takin it to the coast this weekend hopefully its fixed = ]
