I have a 06 hawkeye but i don't like it at all i want to go for a sport/racing quad and i found the 450's but their so many of them and i want to see if ya'll have any good opinions(ktm out of the question, it is too expensive)

DS450 or the Honda 450. YFZs seem to be a harsh ride. Not sure about the KFX, but I heard not as fast as the other 450s. I just bought a used 2004 Honda and I'm in love with the sport again.

 

DS or TRX

Hondas are reliable, but a bit behind in the suspension department.

The DS is supposed to be reliable too. It looks like they saved a ton of weight on the frame and suspension and then put extra weight into making the engine durable.

 

DS450 would be my first choice, The new KFX 450R is a nice machine too.

 

the ds looks pretty sweet but if money is a deciding factor, i dont know about in the states but up here in canada alot of honda dealers have quite a few brand new 06 450's there selling for cheap cheap cheap. also if your into pushing your quad to the limits, the ktm is worth the money i think, you'd spend alot more putting the extras it already has on another bike. all depends if you want to push it hard or have a sporty trail bike

 

yeah i live in houston texas and there is a honda dealer with a 06 450 i'm not sure on the though. and money is a factor. i need to sell my hawkeye first though.

 

around here 08 ds450's going for 5800 bucks. damn i shoulda waited another month lol
