Default PLEASE HELP

Hmm,my quad will not start unless I roll start if off,and then it will sputter and bike fire,but then runs strong,coulds it have fouled plugs,the kn filter keeps slipping off the t45 carb,I also noticed a little oil around the starter????once again this is my first ds650 experience,there is also 2 lines hanging off the carb not connected to anything??? is this correct,sorry for so many questions,just want to get this going,it hauls a%%,when its running LOL

my experience with these things is next to nill but i have heard of valve clearence issues when it only pull starts, if they havnt been done in a while it might be a place to start

oh and my stock carb had to hoses off it too that didnt connect to anything so thats prolly right

Default PLEASE HELP

Check to make sure ther is no partial blockage of the pilot jet. Get your valve clearence checked and adjusted if necessary. Check how your Accelerator Pump is adjusted and if your other jetting circuits are setup accordingly.

I am not a TM guy but the few I have seen have an Accelerator pump that can throw off the pilot circuit if not adjusted properly.

Default PLEASE HELP

The oil at the starter is a leaky o-ring around the starter housing... get a number 19 from the hardware store, if the o-ring wore into the case you may need to seal it with some RTV.

Sounds like your hoses are overflow hose and vent hose and the pull start things i would go after tight valves or cracked rings.

this engine only has maybe 10 hours since complete rebuild!!!cracked rings I sure hope not,

Update,I can take my hand and cup over part of the airfilter,to stop some of the air flow and it will start,what the heck is up with this thing,grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

if you pump the throttle two to three times then hold it about 1/4 open will it start up!!!
