before i did any upgrades to my bike which is a bombardier ds650 baja 2002, i raced a friend of mine who has a kfx700. he beat me by mybe a half of bike in the 1/4 mile. now i have the ron woods cdi box, ron woods pipe, and a k&n filter, he still stock, do anyone think i can beat him now, and also what sprockets should i use, im still running with the 40 tooth rear and the 16 tooth front. give me some info bombardier fans.

20" rear tires - 15T
22" rear tires - 14T

when i got home after the race i noticed that my air intake hose was half way off of the carburator.

Well that would be a problem[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Stock for stock, You should not be loosing to a KFX700 in a 1/4 mile. THey get off the line quick but the CVT really holds them back on top. Get yourself a 15T front sprocket from rocky mountain ATV. Dont even mess with the rear. Did you rejet the carb when you put on the Ron Woods mods?

Ditto on the 14T Front with 22's. I've got my eye open for a 42T Rear as well.
It is pointless to have high end speed when the drag race is over before I even hit 5th.

i rejeted the car with a 175,and a 185 and both jets caused my bike to bogg so i went back to the stock 165.

What elevation are you at? How do your plugs look with the 165? Might want to try a 170... Did you adjust carb needle setting at all?
