chain tighten

Default chain tighten

my chain seems a little loose, how do you tighten it up.

Default chain tighten

Loosen the two bolts on the rear of the bearing carrier, stick the rod that's in your tool kit into one of the holes in the sprocket bracket, roll the bike until the rod goes into the inner hole on said carrier, then have someone roll the bike forward or backwards with you on it until it reaches the desired tension. Remove tool, tighten two bolts, offer the friend who helped you a fresh cold one, and enjoy.
There are numerous threads that cover this but what's the harm in revisiting the topic???

Default chain tighten

i grinded off the end of an old screwdriver that was the right diameter for use as a tool for this as the one in the tool kit bent when i used it. just a thought
