2009 DS 450 Models....
I just hope that those a-arms aren't welded aluminum. If they are chromoly that would still be quite nice. Although forged aluminum sounds sexier. If they are just a copy of the epic a-arms that the racers use (but without the awesome colours, stickers, etc.) then that would be very nice.
TBH, I think that suzuki is now officially screwed. The race ready width and cherrybomb/cheap powermod were mostly the only things it had going for it. Now that can-am has race ready width along with a $0 instead of $40 powermod, suzuki only has the 1-2k price advantage in its feature list.
PS: Does anyone have $10,800 CAD that I can borrow?

Cool to see mfg's start getting serious about competition bikes off the showroom floor. I wouldn't quite say Can-am is ahead of KTM. Can-am has EFI, but reviews state that the KTM's have electric smooth power. Have to wait for real world testing to see if the DS shocks are better than the Ohlins KTM's come with. KTM also has reverse on their XC models. But then Can-am is priced more reasonably, which is the bottom line for most consumers. It will come down to the riders on their race teams, and how much support/money they pump into their race programs...rather than which one is better.
Either way, I think pro level racing just had the ante upped...

I would venture to guess that they use the same geometry as the Epic arms built in house at Can-Am. Given the fact that they assisted with the original design of the suspension. Epic has given several of the other a-arm manufacturers their specs so they could build their arms correct with their own style.
IDK for sure but I'll see what shocks will work with the stock 50" setup.

Sweet! Glad the riser worked out for you Kaiser!
TPR - why no answers on the SxS??? I hope they do something like the RZR-S! Spill the beans now or some of us won't wait for the Can-Am and we'll go get a RZR-S instead!
Also TPR - What's this I hear about a Two-Wheeler??? Dirtbike? Are they looking at using the same 450 engine (sounds logical) in a Dirtbike? Altec Frame? When is it coming out? I'm not in the market but, Can-Am has the engine, drop it in a bike and you'll have a happy dealer network. Would fill a void on their floor.
