Yes I said models, apparently QUAD magazine let it slip that Can-Am was releasing to different models of the DS450...one at 46" wide aimed at the XC crowd and one at a full 50" for the MX guys...they have a bunch of goodies like anti-vibe steering stems and other stuff along with mechanical updates and apparently will be selling the MX version for nearly 2k less than the KTM MX....somewhere in the $8800 to 9k range.

This was leaked via early recipt of the September issue to subscribers, though no pictures are available yet, stay tuned for an announcement shortly....

I hear yellow, black and red, though I wouldn't count out white either since the DS 250 comes in white....white would be sweeeeet.

While the white plastic would be sweet, they need to get different stickers for the quads because the ds250 stickers on the white plastic don't look as nice as the originals IMO.

 

Both the mx and xc 450's will have anti-vibe stems, fully adjustable a-arms (xc only has caster), aluminum skids, nerf bars, and beadlock wheels with ITP tires. The XC is $8799 and the MX is $8999.

 

Both will also be yellow, red and X package.

 

What's the latest on the BRP SxS? I heard last week that it will be 1000 cc?

Did you guys see that Polaris has released a S version of the RZR. . . Includes Long-Travel from the Factory AND it still fits in the back of a pick-up. VERY Smart.

BRP - the market is RIPE for you in the SxS's!!!

Anyone looking at a 450 - I highly recommend the riser bars that the X comes with. I rode both and the X is night and day better than the standard 450.

I still am a big-bore duner. . . BRP is missing the boat not coming out with a new 650 in an Altec frame with FI and a few other mods. . . hopefully there is something in the works. There are a lot of old DS650 guys that would like to see something more competitive with the Raptor. I can't tell you how many DS guys I've seen go to the dark-side of the Raptor in the last few years. Hope BRP doesn't come around too late in the game.

KTM really p!ssed off BRP with their new XC quads?

It's a HUGE price hike. Least year the ds450 was only 7500, now it becomes 9000??? WOW. They REALLY want to beat ktm.
