Default ds650 Cylinder question

Have you considered buying a used cylinder ala eBay or the garage sale thread?. There should be some laying around after going to MrHP cylinders. The coating is 10x longer lasting than steel meaning the liner should be good long after the rest of the bike is toast. I just picked up a used cylinder and piston in perfect shape for $107.00

The nikasil plating in the cylinder is only a few hundreds thick. It's pretty much there or it's not. In my case, it was not, at least in one area (broken ring).
