Default Cheaper 520 Conversion

I'm looking to do a 520 conversion to help a little with the bike. I want to run the smaller chain but i don't want to spend 400 buck to get it not worth it to me. Anyone know the part number or were to get the sprockets seperatly. I want to do a 15 in the front and 40 in the rear.

Dont have to buy the expesive stuff! You can buy the tool steel front and rear in 520 and the 520 chain locally for about half.

Unfortunately optiosn are slim. Have you checked with The BOM or Woods for sprockets?

Runs a 730 kit from OMW with web109's and a 48mm lectron. It has some serious torque!

i think i got a front and rear sprocket from the bom for 120 or so, high quality ones, and a 520 chain from rockymountainatv.com for $30

For the chain you'll want to get the $80 ones to hold up to the weight and power of the DS. I got the RK Gold X-ring chain. It was a recommendation from a friend with an upper 70's horsepower DS. He has run the RK and the DID 520 ERT2. He says both are really good, and the RK has nothing but good reviews. I wouldn't go cheap on the chain because you don't want a chain that is going to stretch and snap on you. But ditto on the sprockets, Ron Woods or The BOM. This should put you about half the cost of a side winder and be very reliable.
