can you install a baja ds650 tach on a regular ds650. Will it plug up and work. Just let me know if it will/won't or if you've tried it. Thanks.

as far as i know it will, i know there is other forum members that have a tach on their non baja bike hopefully they will chime in.

Yea it is a very simple to hook up. If I remember mine even came with instructions. There are only 4 wires to hook up.

 

can you just plug in the factory plug or do you have to hard wire it?

 

You should be able to plug into the factory plug and the other wires go to the, i think that it is the coil. i can't remmember.

You guys need to try Proshop Motorsports and Marine in Henderson, NV and Parker Yamaha in Parker, Az. Both of them will have the OEM tach for less than $140. And they will have other OEM parts that you might need for less than BikeBandit and the many other drop ship discount suppliers.
No stock in either one of them, they just have both done quite a few of us ATVers right in the past and would be glad to help you.
