ds650 tires

As far as trail tires I went with GBC Dirt Devil II's, They are a very aggressive tire, I've only got three good rides on them but I am sold they seem to be wearing good(no signs of wear yet). The traction was amazing I mainly ride with an outty 650 and he was impressed with what they did. Much better then the stock Ohtsu radials.
For the paddles my only experience is Sand Gecko's they are a fun paddle but don't hook up like I would like them to. I wouldn't recomend them

I run nothin but haulers on all our bikes. Even the R1 and never had a problem one. You can dune all day with them or run the hill. I say save your pennies and buy the haulers once and be done with it.
As far as wheels, go for douglas .190's and on Bomb bolt pattern and all will be good.

I'm running the Maxxis All Trak and have had great luck with them, they have held up very well to my rocky trail riding. You can see them in my gallery.
I run the .190 Red Label wheels on my dirt tire, and .160 Black Label on my sand tires. There is a good bit of weigh savings between the two. I have not bent a .160 in the sand yet.
22in are the way to go for both dirt and sand in my opinion. They give you decent ground clearance in the dirt, and much better flotation in the sand.

I, too, run the Dirt Devil II's. The hookup is great in basically all riding conditions - dirt, mud, pavement, grass, partial sand, etc. And they do wear really well (AKA - they last). I run mine on Red Label Douglas 190's.

Since I bought the quad - Early 2008 (They were already installed).
I've ridden them through mud and water that was reasonably higher than the front splash guards and they never even slowed down. A buddy riding his Banshee on Holeshots kept getting stuck.

I got to take my first true ride with mine about a month and a half ago, I went to a hill that I have been before with my stock tires and got stuck becaause of lack of traction and clearance, with the DD's it just walked right up without a problem... at that point I was completly sold. The rest of the trail was sweet and I never knew it cause I couldn't get there.
