Default DS650 Issue

I have a 2004 DS650 x and after riding for a while its starts to bog and looses all its power. I dont know where to start but i have a new air filter. Once i stop and it cools down it runs fine.

It ran fine before you put on the new air filter?

I have never heard of a stock CDI box going bad on a DS 650. If stock is what you have, I would bet that's not your problem.

Just feels like it bouncing off the rev limiter at 3300 to 5500 rpms sometimes

You said you recently put on a new air filter, is it some sort of aftermarket one? It may be that your jetting is too lean, causing the stumble at higher rpm. What does your spark plug look like?

everything is factory parts Spark plugs are look good the local shop I have been to says everything is fine only acts up after riding for a little while. Then will go away...Which makes me think it an electrical problem. I am going to switch the CDI box from my other DS see what happens

Dump 1/3 bottle of carb cleaner into the fuel tank while you are at it. Also, make sure that you always use premium fuel (93 octane).
