Ah man, this conversation is just gonna end up being useless. Dyno's and "HP" numbers are not worth the piece of paper they are printed on. Dyno's are only good for tuning use, and gains from new mods (considering all things equal between runs).

You can get a crap load of power out of a stock bore. You will beat some other bikes, some others will beat you. Proper tuning ability will gain you more or cost you more then anything else. Then you add in weight and set-up and all the variables.

And coming from someone who self proclaims to have one of the fastest stockbore stock stroke N/A DS650s in the country. The ol' vantage rings true. No replacement for Displacement!

I just enjoy a challenge

ya i can see your point dragondj11 you can take a bike full weight ds slap it on the dyno get 80hp out of it. take the same bike with a 260lb rider. place them next to a bike weighing 375lb with it pushing 55hp and a 150lb rider.the set up on the ds all wrong and the lighter bike having a good set up i would say the race would be real close and the lighter bike may win. just my opinon.
