No sig so I don't know what your riding. What do you base your dislike of Visco Lok on? Just curious. I will put my foot in my mouth but after being on these forums for longer than I want to remember and reading most if not all the posts, I will venture to say that 99.5% of the Can Am owners are satisfied with the Visco Lok and the few that aren't will admit it is a problem for them in less than 1% of their riding. There are far more non-owners that bash it than owners. Take it for what its worth.</end quote></div>

ive just dont like how it works, my aunt has one, my buddy has a grizz that works great, and ive ridden a polaris 400sp that works great. right now, i have a polaris but soon to have a warrior. i dont dislike can-am, just their 4X4 and some of their riders. some of them are real biased jerks. [not meaning you btw] had past experiences with one that was...how do i put this...he was quadosexual? for can am.

i was talkin about visco being poor for rock climbing... i for 1 dont rock climb but my short experiences it wasnt the best but not extremely bad either.

i forgot to mention the 800R has about a 10HP advantage of the brute

Visco lok works about the same as a limited slip on a vehicle.

Same as limited slip on a vehicle? not an expert on the subject but I always thought that limited slip sends the power to the wheel that slips and visco transfers more power to the wheel that grips?
someone please jump in.

No raptoredd has it correct as one wheel loosses traction it takes the enertia from that wheel at puts it towards the wheel that has grip through a fluid transfer inside the diff! Hence Visco lock! Jeep Grand Cherokees use a simmilar system inside some of there transfer cases to transfer power from the front to rear diffs!

Hemi you pretty much just explained what tunneldanny said. It tranfers power to the wheel with grip not the wheel that is slipping. It's nothing like Limited slip. Well it's the opposite of limited slip.

I need to correct this, the wheel slipped then locked in the other one, but isnt that what a ls does.

Yes but Visco lock does not lock solid it just keeps pressure till the tire without tracting regains traction and stop spinning.
