I'm buying new tires here and was planning on buying some xc holeshot 20 inchers. But i recently read a few posts on how fast the holeshots wear down. Is this true? IF so what would another good tire be. I"m going to be racing harescramble/motocross this comming spring, and then when i'm not racing i'll be riding mostly trails and hills.

the holeshots are junk once they rear 3/4 tread, razr's seem to last longer!

hey fella's, i asked that question about a month ago.Holeshots or razrs?80% of the guys said holeshots.i raced holeshots 4 years and liked them.they have been the tire of the gncc champions 4 the last 10 years.till this year a guy won with razrs.everybody else had holeshots.thats a tough choice.

From what I can surmise, if you get 20" anything with the holeshot/razr tread pattern (Kenda Dominators included) they will wear down very fast. Everyone which I've heard of using 22" Holeshot/Razr/etc tires has said (thus far) there were no traction or wear problems. I believe the answer lies in the tire size not brand. I think the brand you buy will be more about personal preference than anything.
