WELCOME first thing is look for omrs (old man racing) carb mods forum on this site do this first it helps it.... get more air and gas...next do a cdi be careful the clutch will go out to much power so maybe put stiffer clutch springs ron woods will have these....next mod i would do would be a 520 conversion (chain) stock is 530 ron woods will have this also if just a cheap mod go with a 15 tooth or 14 tooth up front with stock set-up ...then if you ain't happy you can go to a 11:5 je piston with a cometic gasket it bump compression to a 12:1 or 12:5 not sure on which one....there are alot of people on here that will anwser anything you ask real nice guys and will help or try to help with anything...good luck man..... one more thing if you pull the air lid off jet to 170 or 175 would be my guess i dont know what your elevation is there is one route to go with the carb you can go with a tm45 (mikuni) carb thats one more mod...ebay will be your friend trust me on this...

For fairly cheap mods, go with an exhaust end cap that you can get on ebay. Then a CDI(Rev box) go with a Big Gun, also found on ebay. Go with a 15tooth front sprocket found for 8.99 at Rocky Mountain ATV. Those three basic mods will do wonders for you.

thanks for the input. i have a K&N air filter on it already and i have an endcap. so i guess those mods are done. so i want to go with less teeth on the front sprocket??? for more low end??? i always thought you wanted more teeth for better low end. please correct me if im wrong. and what about the back sprocket. what are some different combos i could do with that?

Take your airbox lid off if you haven't already done that. Definitely do the CDI. On the front sprocket the less teeth the lower the gearing, in the rear the more teeth the lower the gearing. You'll be fine with just doing the front, and it's much cheaper. The CDI and sprocket will do wonders still with the other mods you have.

I am just going to sit back and cheerlead. Jon has you covered bro!!!
I am going to add that going to the 15 tooth front sprocket will get you to your RPM limit faster. The CDI will give you an additional 1000 RPMs that you can run out. And those really come in handy. I would not rip off the airbox lid yet though. Go through and do OMR carb mods. Those will give you a great boost for almost no $$$ and keep a smile on your face until you can get a new carb. From there, we can really start having fun
