I have a 2003 DS 650 Baja, When I try to start it the starter spins freely, it doesn't turn the motor over, the starting gear turns but, the motor doesn't, the motors not locked up, it runs great, just not lately! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

one way starter bearing is bad(bolts to back of flywheel)........

Sure you could just pull start it until you get the starter fixed

 

there is no pull starter on it, electric only, I guess I could roll it down a hill and pop the clutch.

 

he meant drag it with another bike,lol hence pull start!lol
