I just picked up a new 2009 Outlander MAX XT 400EFI. This is my first Can-Am product, I already own an Arctic Cat 400 and I am hoping the Can-am will prove to be very comfortable and reliable.

I noticed that the dash is not displaying the forward gears H-High or L-Low. It does display Neutral, Reverse, and Park. The dealer said that this is normal and that only the 500 and larger bikes will display the forward gears. He directed me to Page 72 of my manual it does show just N, P, and R. This seems kinda weird. Why would you leave out the display of the forward gear position?
