Can-Am Skid Plate or Other Brand?
#1
Hey Guys,
I have an Outlander 500 coming and plan on putting some skid-plates under it. I have seen that Can-Am offers the after-market ones and other companies do as well.
Any advice or suggestions on the skidplates? Where to buy from? Which ones to use? Have them built?

Okay....like a dummie I didnt use the search function before posting.
I can see now that the Ricochet might be the brand to go with. That being said, where is the best price on these units? What makes them better than the Can-Am aluminum stuff?

i chose to go with the ricochets over the can am skids bc they are a little thicker.they dont make the rear diff or rear boot guards so i went with the alumatech skids in the rear. also both the ricochets and alumatech skids are cheaper than the can ams

alot of people like the ricochet brand - they're thicker. i've heard alot of complaints about the ricochet front cv guards. i guess they vibrate loose and cut into the cv boots. i'm planning on fabricating my own from hdpe.

I have Ricochet skids on my Grizz and love them. I was able to pick mine up through http://www.rockymountainatv.com for a good price. If not you can by from here http://www.utahsportcycle.com/store/page38.html.
